6.3 Brow colouring

As you have learned previously and will have seen in the many videos you have watched already, there isn’t just one way to apply brow tint or henna onto brows! As you refine and practise your skills, you will have your own preferences for how best to perform each colouring method and the sorts of tools and equipment that make it quick and easy for you.

Let’s take a look at how our expert applies creates gorgeous brow colours with brow tint and henna:

When starting out, it can sometimes be useful to write out the steps you need to follow. Some of us learn by watching, others learn by doing, some of us need to write things down or perhaps you need to do a combination of all of those things! Because there are quite a few steps to complete, do what you need to do to ensure you don’t skip any. You don’t want to be halfway through a brow tint and then realise you forgot to mix in the developer!

Practical Exercise

• Using the Brow Mapping Face Charts you completed in the previous Practical Exercise, practice applying tint on paper with your duo brow brush. Use your brow map reference points to create your brow shape, being sure to adhere to the inner brow marking (head or bulb), the arch, and the tail markings. Get a feel for the duo brow brush by applying tint using different brush angles and stroke patterns.
